Texas doesn't issue anything literally called a "Certificate of Good Standing." What lenders and title companies actually mean is the Secretary of State's Certificate of Fact: Status, sometimes called a certificate of existence. It's a separate document from the Comptroller's Certificate of Account Status, and it's the one most counterparties are actually asking for.
